The Big and Medium trophies contain a fast Italian light tank armed with a mighty 120 mm cannon.

Historical note

The Centauro I 120 combat vehicle was developed by the Italian company OTO Melara in the late 1990s as a prototype to test a new turret armed with a more powerful 120 mm gun. The turret also received a modern fire control system, improved optics, and a number of other enhancements aimed at increasing firepower and accuracy.

A project to upgrade part of the Italian army's fleet to this standard was initially considered, but military leadership saw no need, believing that existing vehicles with 105 mm armament fully met operational requirements. The vehicle was not adopted for service in Italy, and the only foreign nation to purchase this modification was Oman.

Unlike the serial production Centauro I vehicles, this modification features a new turret with a 120 mm L/45 gun by OTO Melara. Its ammunition load includes HEATFS shells and two types of APFSDS, among them the magnificent CL3143 with over 580 mm of penetration! The gun has a flat trajectory, making it a joy to fire, even at long ranges! Another outstanding feature of this weapon is its high fire rate. Fed from the 9-round ready rack in the turret, the crew can reload the gun in just 5 seconds!

High mobility is a hallmark of the Centauro series. The wheeled platform allows for speeds over 120 km/h on roads, and its solid power-to-weight ratio ensures excellent acceleration. As for the Centauro I 120's drawbacks, its considerable size can make finding cover for an ambush tricky. Its armor is light, typical for this class of vehicle. However, unlike many of its counterparts, the Centauro's armor can reliably withstand machine gun fire and even shells from some auto-cannons, meaning you won't be able to disable it by simply hosing it down with bullets.

The Centauro I 120 is a technologically advanced combat vehicle for commanders who favor an aggressive playstyle, who know how to strike first and attack from the most unexpected angles. The combination of its supremely powerful gun and outstanding mobility makes it a formidable adversary on the battlefield.

Ways to get blueprints:

From the Medium Trophy: 700 pcs in the guaranteed reward, or 10 to 100 pcs per attempt.
From the Big Trophy: 700 pcs in the guaranteed reward, or 80 to 200 pcs per attempt.
In the in-game store: purchase for Silver Lions a Folder with a number of blueprints (even after the season ends).
