New Control Type

Announcing a new option, “Alternative Control,” for some Tier V tanks.

The War Thunder Mobile development team is actively working on improving the comfort of vehicle controls. We are pleased to present a new option: “Alternative control type”!

Attention! The feature is currently in test mode. Starting with version 1.17.1.38 , the alternative control type will be available for three tanks (not platoons) in the game:

Soviet tank IS-2 (Rank V)
American tank M4A3 (76) W (Rank V)
German tank Panther D (Rank V)

Advantages of the new “alternative” control type:

the speed control when turning is improved;
control of the tank became more responsive;
the chance of accidental uncontrolled skidding is reduced;
when making sharp turns, it is easier to stabilize the vehicle without losing control.

You can enable the new option in the “Settings” → “Controls” → “Tank” → “Alternative” tab, if the version of the client installed on your device is 1.17.1.38 or higher.

Control of other tanks (except those listed above) will not change after enabling this setting. The new control settings are not technically linked to other tanks, so there will be no changes to their control. Seriously.
